In May I will be doing a Ted Talk in front of my school. I have started preparing and writing down some notes. A presentation is also required so I am starting on that. I am hoping to succeed on that point but I hope that some people have donated. I am planning on donating some hygiene products to the St. Louis Veterans Hospital sometime in the next week. I hope I will help someone in need with my donations.

This week I have been looking into how the Veteran Hospitals in St Louis take donations. You can also volunteer there. Donations are either cash or hygiene products mainly. This is their donating page http://www.stlouis.va.gov/giving/index.asp. If you want to donate fill out this form http://www.stlouis.va.gov/giving/Documents/VAVS_Forms/STL_VAVS_Donation_Form.pdf . It would be great if you donated to this veterans hospital. I am glad to see people helping others in need.

I have decided to create my website on “Wix.com”. It is a free website builder that so far is very easy to use. I thank Christine Benson for her input on website building tools. I checked out weebly.com but I decided on Wix. I do not have any deadlines for a while. I will probably work on my website for a while and try to get it up and running. Until I do I will keep you all updated on my progress. I will be posting weekly.

I am sorry I have not posted in a while. This has been a busy couple of weeks. I pitched my idea to the a committee of district administrators and coordinators. That was successful and then I was over the first hurdle. A week later I showcased my idea in the school cafeteria for the Idea Showcase. A ton of people came and I got to explain my idea to many people. I will be posting pictures of my showcase and my pitch video too. I am now looking for a provider to create my website, or find a way to create the site myself. If anybody has any ideas please email me. I will try to post weekly and will keep you all updated.

Your arm completes a ton of functions. Some of them are so natural that we don’t even have to think about it. But when you lose an arm or other limb in a war, all of those abilities are gone. Around 45% of about 1.6 million veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan have service-related injuries. That’s around 720,000 people! Around 1,500 of that 1.6 million have lost an arm or leg while serving their country, and in some cases even multiple limbs have been lost. These Veterans deserve to receive a functional replacement for their arm(s) or leg(s). I am making a website to guide veterans that are searching for prosthetic limbs. I will give them instructions and help them find the prosthetic that fits their needs.
